Junior Project Manager – Property & Buildings

About the role
WSP is seeking a motivated junior Project Manager to join its Auckland team and support a growing pipeline of Property & Buildings projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from initiation to close‑out, delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients and the community.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Prepare project briefs, specifications, contract documents and fee estimates.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships, providing proactive progress updates.
- Support financial management activities such as budgeting, forecasting and invoicing.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
- Apply structured project‑management methodologies while adapting to project‑specific needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned.
Required profile
- Early‑career professional with a relevant degree in Property, Construction, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience assisting with project delivery in the built environment or consultancy sector.
- Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Client‑focused, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Clean, current driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Understanding of project delivery frameworks, contracts and risk management.
- Familiarity with PMP or PRINCE2 methodologies (certification advantageous).
