Junior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, and security.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of cloud‑related technical issues.
• Help with cloud resource management, system upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams on cloud‑based projects.
• Implement security controls, backup procedures, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support automation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in system testing, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Recent graduates or entry‑level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and operating systems.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
