Junior Business Analyst – Tax Pooling Solutions

About the role

Join PwC New Zealand’s Tax Pooling Solutions team as a Junior Business Analyst. You will help improve digital platforms and business processes, working alongside experienced technology and business professionals to deliver reliable, user‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of digital platforms and business processes.
• Investigate system issues, manage support requests and coordinate solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in delivering system enhancements through requirements gathering, testing (including UAT), defect management and implementation.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, Designers and Developers to ensure reliable delivery.
• Maintain project documentation, product backlogs and knowledge resources.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies such as AI and automation and contribute ideas for product and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business, Commerce, Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Genuine interest in technology, digital products and emerging technologies.
• Collaborative mindset, curiosity to learn and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Exposure to business analysis, software testing or technology projects through studies.
