Judicial Support Advisor

About the role

The Judicial Support Advisor provides hands‑on technology advice and support to judges and their staff across the New Zealand judiciary. Based at the Palmerston North District Court, the role blends desk‑side and remote assistance with relationship management to ensure technology enables the delivery of justice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver responsive digital support services to members of the Judiciary, both on‑site and remotely.
• Provide practical technology advice, coaching, and troubleshooting to judges and support staff.
• Build trusted relationships and act as a liaison between users and the Digital team.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and help users maximise the value of available technology.
• Align support activities with local and national service standards and organisational priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering technology support and service within a complex organisation.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, able to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and deliver work on time and to quality standards.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel, work independently and hold a current full New Zealand driver licence.
• Professional personal presentation and respect for judicial customers.
• ITIL qualification is an advantage; knowledge of the justice sector or government is preferred.
