ITS Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced ITS Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its Internal Technology Services team. The role supports around 2,000 users across nine offices and remote locations throughout New Zealand, ensuring reliable, secure, and high‑performing technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise infrastructure covering servers, networks, cloud platforms, virtualization and end‑user technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents and act as an escalation point for technical issues.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, technology rollouts, remediation activities and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Operate within ITSM frameworks, handling incidents, requests, changes and problem management.
• Support security, compliance, patching, vulnerability remediation and audit‑related tasks.
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures and operational records.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and identify opportunities to enhance service reliability and performance.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance across infrastructure domains.

Required profile

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration or related technical roles.
• Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues and manage technical escalations.
• Experience leading infrastructure changes, upgrades and remediation initiatives.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and accountability skills.
