IT Support Technician – Dunedin

About the role

AVASO Technology is seeking an on‑site Information Technology Support Technician to join its Dunedin team. You will be the primary point of contact for end‑users, delivering desktop, laptop, and network support while ensuring a high level of service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support for all users, hardware, and software across the location.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10 desktops, laptops, and productivity applications (Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Support mid‑range servers, network devices (switches, routers, wireless APs) and IP phones, video‑conference systems, and multifunction printers.
• Handle ticketing via ServiceNow or a similar system, including VPN issues and remote assistance.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding of users, including asset preparation, collection, sanitisation, and inventory control.
• Coordinate with backend teams and external vendors for network, server, and specialised support.
• Maintain SLA performance, CSAT scores, and documentation such as SOPs and runbooks.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering on‑site desktop and network support.
• Ability to work independently while meeting response‑time and resolution targets.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with end‑users, executives, and vendors.
• Commitment to following documented processes and maintaining accurate asset records.
