IT Support Engineer – On‑Call / Freelance (Sydney)

About the role

EIL Global is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide on‑call, freelance, and casual onsite support for its clients in Sydney. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring rapid resolution and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop support and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
• Perform operating system installations, upgrades, and re‑imaging.
• Assist with network troubleshooting across LAN and WAN environments.
• Configure and support routers, switches, and related network infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to service requests and document all activities according to company procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong desktop support and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, routers, and switches.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
