About the role
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our Auckland office and provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to staff. You will be the first point of contact for hardware, software and network issues, ensuring a smooth and secure IT environment for all employees.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and configure workstations for new hires, including operating system installation, software deployment and peripheral setup.
- Deliver remote and on‑site help‑desk support, troubleshoot desktop issues and maintain office equipment such as printers and meeting‑room devices.
- Install, configure and maintain network devices, apply security patches and enforce security policies.
- Manage the IT asset inventory, track device lifecycles and produce regular asset reports.
- Support IT projects such as office relocations, cabling, server installations and employee training.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop support, IT support or a similar role.
- Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail, security awareness and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Required skills
- Windows 10/11 and macOS troubleshooting and administration.
- Microsoft 365/Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
- Shell scripting and software deployment on macOS.
- Active Directory and Azure Active Directory user/computer management.
- Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN) and network troubleshooting.
