IT Support Engineer – Auckland

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Auckland. The role involves providing on‑site and remote technical assistance, managing network and security, and supporting IT projects across the office.

Key responsibilities

• Onboarding Support – configure new workstations, install software, set up peripherals and provide first‑day on‑site assistance for new hires.
• Technical Assistance – deliver remote and on‑site helpdesk support, maintain printers and meeting‑room devices, and ensure smooth daily IT operations.
• Network & Security Management – install and configure network devices, perform regular maintenance, apply security policies and keep systems up‑to‑date with patches.
• IT Asset Management – keep hardware and software inventory, track device usage, manage asset lifecycle and produce regular management reports.
• Project Support – assist with planning and implementing IT infrastructure for new offices, including cabling, server setup and employee training.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Support Technician or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting and administration skills for Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365/Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
• Experience deploying software, running shell scripts and managing macOS configurations.
• Familiarity with Active Directory or Azure Active Directory for user and computer management.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT and VLAN, and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
• Excellent customer service, security awareness and attention to detail.
