IT Manager – School ICT Network

About the role

The IT Manager will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of the ICT network across multiple school sites, ensuring reliable, secure and effective technology for teaching and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the school’s network infrastructure and ICT applications.
• Monitor and maintain switches, virtual and physical server environments, Microsoft 365 and backup systems.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support and advice to staff.
• Deliver training and support to enable effective use of ICT resources.
• Oversee day‑to‑day IT operations, handling service requests efficiently.
• Line‑manage ICT support staff and coordinate service updates and monthly review reports.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and security standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 years experience as an IT Manager, Network Manager or Senior ICT Consultant in a school environment.
• Strong understanding of educational ICT requirements and policies.
• Proven experience upgrading school IT network systems.
• Self‑motivated with excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive problem‑solving approach.
