Inwards & Inventory Officer – Logistics

About the role

The Inwards & Inventory Officer ensures accurate and timely receipt of hearing aids, accessories, and related items into Amplifon’s central warehouse. You will manage stock placement, maintain inventory records, and support continuous improvement of warehouse processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and count inbound stock (hearing aids, accessories, batteries, equipment, etc.) and put away efficiently.
• Record all inbound items in the Amplifon JD Edwards (JDE) database to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Allocate and maintain bin locations, enforce FIFO rotation, and optimise picking flow.
• Coordinate with demand planners and logistics specialists on missing, over‑ or under‑received stock.
• Conduct month‑end and year‑end stock takes, cycle counts, and trace missing consignments.
• Perform quality checks on inbound shipments and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Provide documentation for internal and external stakeholders and recommend process improvements.
• Support health & safety compliance and warehouse procedural standards.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Good organisational skills for managing bin locations and inventory records.
• Effective communication to liaise with suppliers, planners, and internal teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to health & safety policies.

Required skills

• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) ERP or similar inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and tracking technologies.
