Inventory Lead – Distribution Centre (New Zealand)

About the role

As an Inventory Lead at Stanley Black & Decker, you will oversee inventory control activities within a New Zealand distribution centre, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and data integrity across all stock movements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cycle counting, product slotting, stock consolidation and replenishment.
• Oversee stock receipt, reconciliation, reporting and SKU data maintenance.
• Monitor storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels.
• Develop and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost.
• Support the annual stock‑take process and investigate inventory adjustments promptly.
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and collaborate with IT and internal stakeholders to implement changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or a similar distribution‑centre role.
• Strong analytical ability to investigate discrepancies, determine root causes and drive continuous improvement.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
