Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Fonterra is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead complex audit engagements across its global dairy co‑operative. Reporting to the General Manager Internal Audit, you will own a portfolio of audits that support strategic objectives and enhance risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Annual Audit Plan, delivering high‑quality reviews that identify risk and add value.
• Lead audit teams, coach auditors and foster a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure transparent, “no surprises” audit experiences.
• Prepare and review audit scopes, programs, work papers and reports in line with professional standards.
• Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the development of the annual audit plan.
• Champion Fonterna’s values and promote the internal audit function across the business.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an internal audit manager in a multinational organisation or professional services environment.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, think quickly and drive results with an agile mindset.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with senior leaders, including General Managers and Directors.
• Excellent communication skills and a reputation as a trusted advisor.
