Instructional Designer (Remote)

About the role

As an Instructional Designer at Skills Group, you will create high‑quality learning and assessment content for a range of programmes. Working remotely, you will collaborate with subject‑matter experts, tutors and stakeholders to deliver engaging, accessible digital experiences for modern learners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop learning and assessment resources for digital and blended formats.
• Translate complex subject matter into clear, learner‑friendly experiences.
• Build interactive eLearning using authoring tools such as Articulate, H5P and HTML5.
• Collaborate with SMEs, academic teams and external partners in a remote environment.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and content quality.
• Analyse learner data and feedback to continuously refine learning experiences.
• Own projects end‑to‑end and support broader team objectives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in instructional or learning design.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong content‑writing skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Up‑to‑date with emerging ed‑tech trends and a willingness to introduce new ideas.

• Moodle or similar LMS platforms
• AI‑enhanced content creation tools
• Graphic design and visual design capabilities
