Injury Prevention & Recovery Coordinator

About the role

The Injury Prevention & Recovery Coordinator provides first‑line injury treatment, rehabilitation and ongoing injury management for staff on site. You will follow best‑practice occupational health procedures to ensure injured employees recover quickly, triage any medical events, and promote health and wellness to prevent future injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to all injuries efficiently in line with occupational health best practice.
• Support injured personnel throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
• Administer both work‑related and non‑work‑related injury activities.
• Maintain accurate, secure and confidential health records.
• Communicate regularly with department leaders and injured staff to provide status updates and required actions.
• Design injury‑prevention programmes and contribute to company‑wide safety strategy.

Required profile

• Experience in first‑line treatment and/or injury claims management.
• Familiarity with the ACC claims process and Accredited Employers Programme.
• Ability to identify and reduce workplace injury risks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across diverse backgrounds.
• Current First Aid certification (beneficial).
• Basic knowledge of physiotherapy/rehabilitation principles (advantageous).
• Computer literate with ability to keep private health records.
