Information Technology Support Technician

About the role

AVASO Technology is seeking an experienced Information Technology Support Technician to provide onsite technical assistance to our Auckland office. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, servers, network devices and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite IT support for all users and hardware across the designated locations.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot software on end‑user systems and servers.
• Onboard new employees by preparing and deploying IT assets; manage off‑boarding, asset collection and sanitisation.
• Provide executive/VIP support and coordinate remote assistance with backend network and server teams.
• Support IP phones, video‑conference equipment and Level 1 multifunction printer issues.
• Handle tickets in ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing system, meeting SLA targets.
• Troubleshoot VPN connections, Windows 10, Office 365 and Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint.
• Maintain office IT asset inventory and coordinate external vendors when required.
• Participate in internal IT projects and maintain SOPs and runbooks for the global team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in desktop and server support within an onsite environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external teams.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and adherence to SLA and CSAT metrics.
