Information Management Advisor

About the role

The Information Management Advisor will support the Treasury’s Security, Assurance and Information Team by developing roadmaps for information systems, leading initiatives that deliver the Information Management Strategic Roadmap, and ensuring solutions are practical, scalable and aligned with best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Information Technology team in developing information systems roadmaps that identify improvements and enhancements for information management capabilities.
• Lead and contribute to initiatives that deliver the Information Management Strategic Roadmap, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable and aligned with best practice.
• Assist in improving and enhancing information management tools and systems across the Treasury.

Required profile

• Experienced and proactive information management professional with a broad range of experience.
• Confident influencer who can challenge existing practices and promote user‑focused improvements.
• Awareness of emerging trends in information management and willingness to share knowledge.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good understanding of government information strategies, the Public Records Act 2005 and related legislation and standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience using iManage for information management.
