Industrial Electrical Tradesperson – NZAS Tiwai Point

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Tradesperson to join the Main Workshop at NZAS Tiwai Point, supporting maintenance and repair of critical site equipment in a heavy‑industrial environment. The role offers a balanced day‑roster, relocation support and the chance to work on large‑scale plant while enjoying a lifestyle‑friendly location.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on plant and workshop equipment.
• Diagnose and repair cranes, machinery and industrial electrical systems.
• Support contractor work to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.
• Mentor apprentices and contribute to team capability.
• Deliver reliable repair work within production timeframes.
• Promote a safety‑first, team‑oriented culture.

Required profile

• Registered Electrician with a current practising licence (or transferable AU qualification).
• Strong background in industrial, mining or heavy process environments.
• Advanced fault‑finding and diagnostic capability.
• Experience with large‑scale plant, equipment or workshop machinery.
• Ability to mentor others and work in a high‑performing team.

Required skills
