Industrial EI&C Engineer – Electrical Design & Commissioning

About the role

Join Aurecon’s growing EI&C team to deliver electrical engineering solutions for energy, manufacturing and water projects across New Zealand and Australia. You will work on a variety of industrial facilities, from concept design through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical specifications and design power and control systems for industrial low‑voltage installations.
• Support lead electrical engineers or lead the electrical scope on multidisciplinary projects of varying size.
• Collaborate with clients and contractors to integrate new requirements with existing plant equipment.
• Travel to client and project sites across New Zealand to gain hands‑on experience with machinery, automation and control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering (Washington Accord) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of low‑voltage power systems, instrumentation and control.
• Familiarity with hazardous‑area standards (AS/NZS 60079) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
