In-Store Food and Beverage Demonstrator

About the role

Orbit Marketing is seeking enthusiastic people who love food and drink to run sampling stations and live cooking demonstrations inside supermarkets in Napier and Hastings. You will engage shoppers, showcase products, and help turn a routine grocery trip into a tasty discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Host product sampling stations, pour drinks, plate bite‑size portions and talk to shoppers.
• Conduct live cooking demos using simple recipes and a portable hotplate.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and food‑safe workstation throughout each shift.
• Transport demo kits between stores using your own vehicle.
• Stand for the duration of shifts and carry equipment as needed.

Required profile

• Passion for food and beverage and a friendly, sales‑oriented attitude.
• Comfortable starting conversations with shoppers and meeting sampling targets.
• Hospitality, barista, deli, food‑truck, catering, retail sampling or home‑cooking experience (training provided if needed).
• Access to a vehicle and a valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and available on weekends.
• Willingness to handle food safely; a food‑handler certificate is a plus.
