HR Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a confident, experienced HR professional to join NZ Safety Blackwoods as an HR Advisor. You will work closely with leaders across retail, supply chain, sales, marketing, finance and IT, providing pragmatic advice and influencing positive people outcomes in a multi‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers on day‑to‑day people matters including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and engagement.
• Provide high‑quality HR advice, coaching and guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support and contribute to broader people initiatives and organisational change projects.
• Navigate sensitive issues, resolve conflicts constructively and ensure compliance with New Zealand employment legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering HR advice to leaders and employees.
• Strong capability in employee relations, performance management, talent and culture.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (well regarded).
