Houseperson (Afternoon & Night)

About the role
The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of public and back‑of‑house areas during afternoon and night shifts at Pullman Auckland. You will help create a memorable experience for guests by ensuring all spaces are spotless and well‑maintained.
Key responsibilities
- Clean all back‑of‑house areas, excluding the kitchen and stores.
- Clean public areas such as the lobby, restaurant, and conference spaces.
- Maintain locker rooms, staff rooms, and public washrooms/toilets.
- Carry out programmed and regular cleaning duties as allocated.
- Use and clean equipment responsibly and report any defects.
- Maintain department equipment to a high standard and assist with stocktaking.
- Secure keys and access to public/back‑of‑house areas, following security procedures.
- Report suspicious persons or items to the supervisor.
- Handle cleaning agents safely, following health‑and‑safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
Required profile
- Warm and caring personality.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide a professional, welcoming service.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Physical fitness to perform an active role.
