Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Novotel Queenstown Lakeside is looking for a motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will coordinate room readiness, manage linen logistics, and support a multicultural team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise room inspections, staff schedules and daily housekeeping activities.
• Maintain inventory and manage linen and laundry procedures efficiently.
• Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance to guarantee timely room readiness.
• Respond to guest requests, including VIP setups, with urgency and care.
• Train, mentor and induct new team members while fostering a positive work environment.
• Handle guest and staff issues professionally, conduct morning briefs and team meetings.
• Support cost control by managing resources responsibly.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months supervisory or team‑leader experience in hotel housekeeping or accommodation services.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working collaboratively with a multicultural team.
• Understanding of hygiene, safety protocols and manual handling procedures.
