Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

The Housekeeping Attendant ensures that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Working within a supportive hotel community, you will contribute to creating personalised experiences for guests while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to Sofitel reference standards, including bathrooms, minibars, air‑conditioning units and furniture.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, corridors, locker rooms, staff washrooms and, when required, kitchen and balcony spaces.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks such as descaling shower heads, bleach‑grouting bathrooms, carpet cleaning and upholstery care.
• Handle laundry duties, restock room items (magazines, amenities) and assist with heavy‑load tasks.
• Manage housekeeping equipment, conduct regular stock‑taking and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Secure keys and follow security procedures for all guest and staff areas.
• Assist guests with information or service requests, escalating when beyond authority.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift heavy items.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Reliability in adhering to security and confidentiality protocols.

Required skills

• Operation of standard housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools.
• Understanding of proper usage and storage of cleaning chemicals.
