Housekeeper / Laundry Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role
Summerset is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join the Karaka village team. This part‑time position supports a warm, safe, and homelike environment for residents, their families, and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry and kitchen facilities.
- Launder, fold, label, mend and return residents’ clothing and linens with care.
- Support infection‑control and health‑and‑safety procedures.
- Build respectful relationships with residents, understanding their individual needs.
Required profile
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering clean, comfortable spaces.
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
- Genuine interest in aged‑care; full training will be provided.
