About the role
We are looking for a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join the Oaks Auckland Hotel team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs and providing local recommendations to create memorable stays.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival, manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently, and address immediate inquiries.
- Maintain clear communication with guests, colleagues and external partners via in-person, phone and email.
- Process reservations, updates and special requests using the property management system, ensuring accurate scheduling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the guest’s stay, offering assistance, resolving issues and providing personalized recommendations.
Required profile
- Warm, friendly demeanor with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple guest requests simultaneously.
- Team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work varied shifts.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Property Management System (PMS) for reservations and guest data.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of $25.50-$27.50 NZD (approx. $39,780-$44,900 per year).
- Fortnightly direct-deposit salary payments.
- Full-time permanent contract with paid rest breaks and standard leave entitlements.
