Host for Iconic Lake Vessels – Summer Fixed-Term

About the role

Join RealNZ as a Host on the historic TSS Earnslaw and the Spirit of Queenstown, delivering unforgettable guest experiences on Lake Wakatipu. This fixed‑term summer position involves food and beverage service, guest welcome, and supporting vessel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests boarding the vessels.
• Provide food, beverage, bar and café service to guests.
• Support special events and daily operations on board.
• Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the vessels.
• Assist with boarding procedures and vessel safety checks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum one year experience in food and beverage service, including bar and barista duties.
• Confident, guest‑focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a close‑knit team.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, from service to cleaning.
• Positive, professional and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
