Health Care Assistant – Part‑time (25‑30 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Health Care Assistant to join the Enliven team at Longview Home in Tawa on a permanent part‑time basis (25‑30 hours per week). You will work alongside a supportive team to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care for our elder residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily living and personal care support to residents.
• Encourage independence and resident‑led decision making.
• Deliver individualized, high‑quality support in line with health and safety procedures.
• Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse team.
• Ensure resident needs are met promptly and effectively.

Required profile

• Passion for the wellbeing of older people.
• Patient, organised and a strong team player.
• Good verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable using a computer and maintaining digital records.
• Hold a Level 2 or higher Health and Wellbeing Certificate.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for digital record keeping.
