About the role

Rangitoto College is seeking a full‑time Health and Physical Education Teacher to join its vibrant HPE department from Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will deliver a Knowledge‑Rich Curriculum, including the HPE Scholarship programme, Sports Science and Outdoor Education, while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Health and Physical Education lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Lead and support the HPE Scholarship programme and related specialist courses.
• Contribute to co‑curricular activities, including sports teams and outdoor programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Mātauranga Māori and research‑informed teaching principles.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback in line with school policies.
