Head Porter

About the role

The Head Porter will be the face of Novotel Queenstown, leading the porter team to ensure every guest’s arrival and departure is smooth and memorable. This full‑time, on‑site position combines leadership with hands‑on guest service in a vibrant tourism destination.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a multicultural porter team to deliver high‑quality guest assistance.
• Coordinate luggage handling, room deliveries, and lobby services during peak check‑in and check‑out periods.
• Maintain standards of cleanliness and presentation in the lobby, corridors, and service areas.
• Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries related to porter services.
• Collaborate with front‑office and housekeeping departments to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role within hospitality or guest services.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
