Head of People & Culture

About the role

Wolfbrook is seeking a commercially‑savvy leader to head its People & Culture function across a diverse portfolio of businesses in New Zealand. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will shape and execute a group‑wide people strategy that supports rapid growth and evolving priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cohesive people strategy aligned with business objectives across property development, construction, finance, sales and corporate functions.
• Partner with senior leaders as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, organisational change and capability development.
• Champion Wolfbrook’s values, drive employee engagement, and lead internal communication initiatives.
• Design and deliver leadership, performance and wellbeing programmes, including management training and coaching.
• Provide strategic oversight of health and safety for corporate offices and active construction sites, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and succession planning across multiple business units.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior HR or People & Culture roles within fast‑growing, multi‑disciplinary organisations.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance people, performance and practicality.
• Excellent stakeholder management and change‑leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build high‑performing teams and embed a strong safety and wellbeing culture.
