Guest Services Agent / Porter (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Guest Services Agent/Porter to join our hotel team. This part‑time position involves front‑desk duties, occasional porter tasks, and supporting other hotel areas as needed. You will work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Maintain smooth front‑office operations and coordinate closely with Housekeeping.
• Handle cash, guest belongings, and incident reports in line with security procedures.
• Provide accurate local information and assist VIP guests.
• Answer phone calls, relay guest requests to relevant departments, and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
• Support the Duty Manager in achieving maximum occupancy and average rate.

Required profile

• Confident, motivated and enthusiastic with a strong attention to detail.
• Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Full driver’s licence and NZQF Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent experience).
