Guest Service Officer – Front Office

About the role

Join the 5‑star Park Hyatt Auckland as a Guest Service Officer on the Front Office team. This full‑time, permanent position is based in the heart of Auckland’s CBD and focuses on delivering a seamless, luxurious experience for discerning guests.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out processes.
• Assist guests with enquiries, anticipate needs, and promote hotel facilities and special offers.
• Manage guest accounts, process payments, and handle cash and credit‑card transactions accurately.
• Maintain detailed records and an organized filing system.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and uphold high customer‑satisfaction standards.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of front‑office or customer‑service experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and confidence handling difficult situations tactfully.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel reservation systems, preferably Opera.
