Guest Service Agent (Seasonal)

About the role

The Guest Service Agent will be the welcoming face of Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel during the busy summer season. Working on‑site in Twizel, you will ensure guests enjoy a seamless and memorable stay by delivering high‑quality service at the front desk and supporting the food & beverage team.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out, process payments and issue invoices.
• Enter reservations, group arrivals and rooming lists accurately into the property management system.
• Assist guests with luggage, enquiries and special requests.
• Provide support to the F&B department during peak periods.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain a tidy and presentable front‑desk area.

Required profile

• Previous experience in reception, portering or customer‑service roles.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rostered schedule.
• Well‑presented, reliable and proactive.

Required skills

• Experience with Guest Centrix or a similar property management system.
