Guest Service Agent – Food & Beverage & Housekeeping

About the role

Join a respected New Zealand‑owned hotel brand in the stunning Mackenzie Region as a Guest Service Agent. You will split your time between the Food & Beverage and Housekeeping areas, delivering warm, memorable experiences for guests throughout the busy summer season.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests.
• Assist in Food & Beverage operations, including using the POS system, taking orders, clearing tables and servicing buffet stations during breakfast and dinner services.
• Maintain guest rooms to brand standards: remove linen, clean bathrooms, make up rooms, and clean public areas.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting and standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Well‑presented, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Previous experience in food & beverage or housekeeping is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.

Required skills

• Operation of a POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.

• Fixed‑term contract from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 May 2027 (30 + hours/week).
