Groups Reservations Coordinator

About the role

The Groups Reservations Coordinator is a specialised position within the reservations team at InterContinental Wellington. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you will manage group bookings from initial inquiry through to final confirmation, supporting the hotel’s sales, marketing and revenue objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage group booking inquiries and reservations from first contact to final confirmation, ensuring a seamless experience for organisers and attendees.
• Collaborate with revenue and sales teams to optimise group bookings and effectively manage hotel inventory.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date reservation data and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide a personalised, responsive customer experience to group organisers and participants.
• Promote booking opportunities to contribute to revenue generation.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with group clients, exceeding their expectations throughout the reservation process.

Required profile

• Experience in reservations, front‑office operations or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong administration skills.
• Previous experience working in a hotel environment.
• Confidence in communication skills and ability to interact with customers and colleagues.

Required skills

• Experience using a property management system such as Opera.
