Group Finance Manager – 13‑Month Maternity Leave Cover

About the role

We are seeking a Group Finance Manager to cover a 13‑month maternity leave. Based at our Christchurch head office, you will lead corporate accounting, partner with senior executives, and ensure the integrity of group‑wide financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly corporate accounting tasks including journals, reconciliations, reporting packs and consolidation.
• Prepare and present cost‑centre reporting to Group Executives.
• Oversee Group IT operating and capital expenditure reporting.
• Manage the workflow of the Group Financial Accountant and support the FP&A team.
• Prepare monthly treasury reports for the Group CFO and CEO and provide oversight to the Treasury Manager.
• Support monthly group consolidation, half‑year and year‑end statutory consolidations, financial statements and external audit processes.
• Contribute to group‑wide initiatives such as accounting policy rollout, technical accounting analysis, insurance renewal, board reporting, tax compliance and internal audit preparation.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting expertise with a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders.
• Experience in corporate accounting, consolidation and treasury reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
