Group Accountant

About the role

Vista Group is seeking a technically‑strong Group Accountant to join its Finance team. You will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of the group’s financial position across nine operating companies in six countries, ensuring compliance with reporting and legal obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and monthly management accounts for a multi‑national group entity.
• Support annual and interim statutory financial reporting and consolidation processes.
• Assist with cash management, treasury activities, and transfer pricing calculations.
• Lead process‑improvement projects and implement new finance systems.
• Work with foreign currency transactions and perform currency translations.

Required profile

• NZICA, CA qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a CA or commercial environment.
• Experience with NZX and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in consolidations for a multinational group.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel spreadsheeting.
• Navision or a similar group ERP system.
• Foreign currency transaction handling and currency translation.
• IFRS and NZX reporting.
• Consolidation and transfer pricing calculations.
• Systems improvement, design and implementation.
