Ground Operations Trainer

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Ground Operations Trainer to deliver theory and practical training to new and existing staff at Auckland Airport. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, developing front‑line employees so they can provide safe, efficient, and reliable services for passengers and cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Create a safe, trusting learning environment that supports diverse learning styles.
• Apply adult‑learning techniques and inclusive facilitation to maximise training outcomes.
• Conduct training administration and quality reviews, maintaining accurate paper‑based and electronic records.
• Identify and implement improvements to the training experience for front‑line team members.
• Deliver Swissport and client training programs, including classroom theory, practical ‘buddy’ shifts, competency‑based assessments, and e‑learning supervision.
• Ensure compliance with WH&S Act, CASA, OTS and other relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Experience delivering training in an aviation or ground‑handling environment.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to maintain detailed training records and conduct quality reviews.
