Graphic Licensed Designer (Pop Culture)

About the role

Join The Warehouse’s in‑house Design team to create pop‑culture driven products that appear on shelves across New Zealand. You will translate iconic brands, characters and artists into commercially successful graphics for apparel and general merchandise.

Key responsibilities

• Spot emerging trends and turn them into customer‑focused designs.
• Research market insights and apply trend analytics to product development.
• Forecast colours, graphics, fabrics and product opportunities.
• Create compelling graphics for globally recognised licences such as Disney, Marvel, Warner Brothers and sports teams.
• Collaborate with Buying and Sourcing teams to build cohesive, market‑ready ranges.
• Balance creative vision with commercial outcomes and retail timelines.

Required profile

• Strong eye for detail and ability to work within licensed brand guidelines.
• Experience in a fast‑paced retail environment with cross‑functional collaboration.
• Commercial sense and customer‑centric mindset.
• Proven track record taking products from concept through execution.

Required skills

• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
