Graphic Designer (Mandarin Speaking)

About the role

The Graphic Designer will join Global Wave Group’s Marketing team in Auckland to create compelling visual assets for both online and offline channels. The role focuses on strengthening brand identity while supporting marketing campaigns, exhibitions and advertising initiatives. Fluency in Mandarin is required to tailor designs for Mandarin‑speaking audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Create visual assets for social media, marketing collateral, advertising key visuals, exhibition materials and other promotional designs.
• Develop creative concepts that align with the company’s brand positioning and communication goals.
• Maintain and evolve the visual identity system to ensure consistency across all deliverables.
• Improve existing design templates to enhance visual consistency and brand recognition.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, product and PR teams to support brand campaigns and advertising initiatives.
• Produce design variations quickly based on campaign needs and stakeholder feedback.
• Stay up‑to‑date with design trends and platform best practices, proposing innovative visual solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Graphic Design or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in internet, advertising or brand design.
• Strong aesthetic judgement, attention to detail and ability to translate business needs into effective designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Portfolio showcasing past design work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Experience with other major design tools.
