GP or Urgent Care Practitioner – New Zealand Opportunities

About the role

We are seeking International Medical Graduate General Practitioners and Urgent Care Practitioners to join Green Cross Health’s network of primary‑care clinics across New Zealand. Positions are available in Auckland, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, Nelson and Hawke’s Bay, offering a chance to live and work in vibrant cities, coastal towns or close‑knit regional communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary‑care consultations and urgent‑care services to a diverse patient population.
• Deliver culturally responsive care, including services for Māori and Pasifika communities.
• Collaborate with practice teams, Clinical Directors and other health professionals to ensure high‑quality care.
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• International Medical Graduate with a qualification in General Practice.
• Eligibility to register with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
• Willingness to relocate to New Zealand and work in a clinic setting.
• Strong commitment to equitable, community‑focused healthcare.

Required skills

• General Practice clinical expertise.
• Urgent Care assessment and management.
• Patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Understanding of MCNZ registration process.
