Go/Golang Developer (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to work remotely on a contract basis (10‑12 hours per week). The role focuses on evaluating and improving real‑world software projects that support next‑generation AI systems, without requiring prior AI expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Take on challenging backend, full‑stack, infrastructure, and systems tasks.
• Review, debug, enhance, and clearly explain code across diverse environments.
• Design or assess solutions involving APIs, databases, services, integrations, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Identify trade‑offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Document technical reasoning in writing, outlining alternatives and justification.
• Collaborate with the client’s team on technical reviews and implementation decisions.
• Rapidly adapt to new codebases, frameworks, and technical requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in at least one backend or full‑stack environment (e.g., Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Java, C#.NET, C++, Ruby, PHP).
• Proven ability to read, reason through, and communicate about unfamiliar codebases.
• Clear, objective written communication of complex engineering decisions.

Required skills

• Go (Golang) and/or other backend languages listed above.
• Experience with production‑level APIs, services, databases, and integrations.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: debugging, testing, code quality, architecture, and trade‑offs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) – preferred.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, containers, and monitoring – preferred.
• Exposure to frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, Vue, or React Native – preferred.
