GLOBALG.A.P. QMS Auditor – Crops

About the role

We are seeking a qualified GLOBALG.A.P. QMS Auditor (Crops) to assess farm and food production operations against GLOBALG.A.P. certification standards. The role involves travelling across New Zealand, building strong client relationships, and supporting growers and exporters in the horticulture sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of crop production systems to verify compliance with GLOBALG.A.P. Option 2 standards.
• Analyse records and processes to ensure adherence to regulatory and food safety requirements.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely audit reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge of food safety, market standards, and audit techniques.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary diploma (2+ years) in horticulture, agricultural science, or a related field, with at least 2 years post‑study experience.
• Alternatively, a diploma in a food‑related discipline with at least 4 years in farm operations or technical production management.
• Lead auditor training based on ISO/IEC principles (minimum 37 hours) and practical auditing experience (10 days) in management systems such as ISO/IEC 9000, BRCGS Food or GLOBALG.A.P. Option 2.
• Strong knowledge of the horticulture industry, agribusiness sector, and international market standards.
