Geospatial Analysis Specialist (Remote)

About the role

This remote contract role focuses on applying advanced geospatial expertise to support AI training initiatives and deliver actionable spatial insights. You will work independently and with cross‑functional teams to design, manage, and visualise spatial data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and ensure the integrity of spatial databases across multiple projects.
• Perform advanced geoprocessing and spatial modelling using QGIS and translate results into clear insights.
• Develop, customise, and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions to meet project specifications.
• Automate geospatial workflows with Python (PyQGIS) to boost efficiency and reproducibility.
• Create high‑quality cartographic maps and visualisations for reports and decision‑support tools.
• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and deliver tailored geospatial solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in QGIS, including spatial database management and map production.
• Proficiency in Python, especially within the PyQGIS environment.
• Solid understanding of spatial projections, coordinate systems, and data transformation.
• Experience developing QGIS plugins or scripting custom tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
