General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner – Whanganui

About the role

Aramoho Health Centre is seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team in central Whanganui. This permanent position offers a healthy work‑life balance with 8‑10 sessions per week and no after‑hours commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality primary care to a diverse patient population.
• Collaborate with nurses, administrative staff, and a dedicated Practice Manager.
• Participate in teaching activities as part of an established teaching practice.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to New Zealand health standards.

Required profile

• Vocational registration (FRNZCGP) or working towards it.
• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Strong communication and clinical service skills.
