General Practitioner (GP) – Contract Position

About the role

Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital is looking for a dedicated General Practitioner to join its clinical team in Epsom, Auckland. The position is session‑based and operates under an independent contractor model, offering flexibility for qualified doctors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up.
• Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and health assessments in an on‑site setting.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records in compliance with local regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and emergency response as required.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Active Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a contractor.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
