General Practitioner – Flexible Role in New Christchurch Health Hub

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join the brand-new Qestral Health Hub in Papanui, Christchurch. The practice is a purpose-built, modern facility designed to support high-quality, patient-centred care. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to individuals, families and whānau.
• Conduct consultations, examinations and follow-up appointments in state-of-the-art consulting rooms.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, registered nurses, allied health professionals and administrative staff.
• Participate in the development and continuous improvement of care pathways within the new health hub.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the practice’s clinical software.

Required profile

• Current vocational or general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (or working towards it).
• Ideally holds a GP fellowship (FRNZCGP or equivalent).
• Experience in a GP practice, health hub or similar primary-care setting.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Ability to work calmly and adaptively in a busy clinical environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern practice management and clinical software.
