General Manager Transformation & Business Services

About the role

This newly created senior position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for delivering CORDE’s refreshed strategy over a three‑year fixed‑term engagement. The General Manager, Transformation & Business Services will lead the core enabling functions – Finance, HSEQ, People & Culture, Digital and Portfolio Management – as a single, unified team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end strategy process, from development through to execution.
• Build and operate a shared‑service model that translates strategic objectives into operational delivery.
• Raise process maturity across the organisation and embed service‑delivery standards.
• Provide governance support to the Company Secretary, board committees and board meeting actions.
• Lead finance, HSEQ, people & culture, digital and portfolio management functions to serve operational teams effectively.
• Identify and develop new growth opportunities, markets and revenue streams.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience across multiple corporate functions, preferably in horizontal infrastructure, construction, utilities or other asset‑intensive sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute enterprise‑level strategy and translate it into a clear, prioritized delivery programme.
• Track record of building and embedding service‑delivery models and improving process maturity in complex organisations.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in local government considered a plus.
• Trusted, collaborative and comfortable both at board level and onsite with teams.
