Funds Consultant

About the role

As a Funds Consultant within the Customer Engagement – Funds Management team, you will help safeguard and grow customer value across KiwiSaver and investment products. You will lead targeted retention and engagement strategies, aiming to reduce attrition, improve long‑term outcomes and strengthen customer confidence through proactive outreach and high‑quality interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers through outbound calls to drive retention and improve financial outcomes for KiwiSaver and investment products.
• Deliver personalised, needs‑based conversations, providing light financial guidance, education and support aligned with customer goals and regulatory requirements.
• Operate primarily outbound while flexing to inbound demand to maintain service continuity and a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with product teams to enhance campaign outcomes and retention strategies.
• Maintain strong knowledge of KiwiSaver, investment products and market conditions.
• Ensure all interactions comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
• Capture key insights from customer interactions and identify opportunities to enhance long‑term customer value.

Required profile

• Working towards or willing to complete the NZ Certificate in Financial Services – Investment Strand.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build trust and engage customers effectively.
• Experience delivering customer‑focused conversations and clearly explaining financial concepts.
• Background in retention, outbound engagement or customer‑facing roles, preferably within financial services.
• Ability to provide financial guidance within defined frameworks while meeting regulatory requirements.
